In a late report that ONM received, the Oromo Libration Army’s South East Battalion claims victory over the inexperienced Ethiopian Government army detachment following a small scale clash with the unit. The government army detachment, as usual, was deployed to terrorize the civilian population in Sirka district of Arsi Zone.
As per the OLA South Eastern Oromia battalion, special force named after the late veteran Nadhii Gammadaa effectively and fully neutralized the fascist army of the Ethiopia army deployed in the area on reconnaissance mission.
This unit is believed to be the one responsible for the extrajudicial public execution against Oromo civilians in the area. The successful engagement by OLA against the criminal army made the force to sustain loss of six soldiers and nine others injured in Sole Caffa village of Sirkaa district in East Arsi Zone.
The fascist army, which has no courage to fight, is torturing the people and attempting to force the people to give up their fight for freedom and self-determination. Their futile exercise only results in more volunteers joining the OLA. Thus, they are conducting massive threat campaigns, beatings, arrests, looting, burning, displacement, and killings in the districts they step foot in.
