In a significant blow to the Ethiopian government forces, the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) successfully destroyed two pickup patrol trucks carrying Ethiopian troops and intelligence agents in the Sharkicha area of Gumbii Bordoddee district, West Hararghe, last week.
The operation, conducted by OLA fighters between 3-4 am on July 10, has sent shockwaves through the enemy camp. According to insider informants, the Ethiopian forces were caught off guard by the surprise attack and were unable to withstand the fearless engagements led by the OLA under their campaign slogan, “Irbu Shinniggaa.”
“This operation demonstrates the growing capabilities and resolve of the OLA in their fight against the Ethiopian government,” said an OLA commander in the area adding “Our fighters are committed to defending our people and territory from oppressive forces.”
The destruction of these vehicles marks a significant tactical victory for the OLA, highlighting the ongoing instability and conflict in the region.
