This update presents key battles from a 10-day, March 21–31, 2025, OLA Combat Operations that left hundreds of regime soldiers killed and hundreds more wounded.
1. March 21, 2025—Harsadee Command conducted a targeted operation in the East Shewa zone, in Liiban Cuqqaalaa and Boosat Districts, engaging enemy forces at Muummee Kosooroo and Rukkeechaa. The operation resulted in 7 enemy combatants being neutralized, 7 being wounded, and their weapons confiscated.
2. March 22, 2025 – OLA forces launched an offensive in the Iluu Abbaa Boor zone, Algee Saaccii District, striking regime troops stationed at Gudayyaa. The engagement left 9 enemy soldiers dead, multiple others wounded, and their weapons seized.
3. March 22, 2025 – The SE Command executed simultaneous assaults in East and West Arsi zones. In Jajuu District (Gurree) and Heeban District (Dagaagaa), OLA fighters eliminated 23 regime soldiers and injured 20, degrading enemy presence in the area.
4. March 24, 2025 – Units from OLA’s Western Command ambushed regime forces stationed in the East Wollega zone, Saasiggaa District (Jimaataa town), inflicting heavy casualties and disrupting enemy operations.
5. March 25, 2025 – Eastern Command conducted a raid on a police station in West Hararge zone, Hancaar District (Kamisaa town), successfully liberating 80 political prisoners. Later that day, OLA forces destroyed a regime military camp in Hacaar District (Hoofii), forcing surviving troops to flee to Calalaa. Intelligence confirmed the targeted unit had been inciting ethnic tensions between the Oromo, Argobba, and Amhara communities in the area.
6. March 25, 2025 – Brigades under the SE Command struck regime forces in East Arsi zone, Muunneessaa District (Heeban Laaqicha), killing 10, including key military leaders, and wounding 18.
7. March 25, 2025– Harsadee Command launched an operation in West Shewa zone, Iluu District (Doowaa Bisee and Soodduu), neutralizing 27 enemy combatants and injuring 13.
8. March 26, 2025 – Harsadee Command carried out large-scale engagements in East Arsii (Doddotaa District) and East Shewa (Liiban Cuqqaalaa District). In Doddotaa (Amuddee), 22 enemy soldiers were killed and 15 wounded. In Liiban Cuqqaalaa, OLA forces struck at Odaa Jiddaa (16 killed, 13 wounded) and Daggala Jiddaa (22 killed, 14 wounded).
9. March 29, 2025 – Harsadee Command targeted a regime military camp in East Shewa zone, Dugdaa District (Dararaaa), killing 9, including a counterinsurgency commander, and wounding 6.
10. March 30, 2025 – Eastern Command ambushed regime forces in West Hararge zone at the intersection of Hancaarii and Daaroo Labuu Districts (at Caffee Haraa and Afurtamaa), killing 19 and wounding 13. Later that day, in Hancaar District (at Hincinnii, Mataa Elemoo), OLA fighters eliminated 28 enemy soldiers and injured 16. Reinforcements sent from Machaaraa and Galamasoo were intercepted, resulting in 47 killed and 29 wounded.
11. March 30, 2025 – SE Command units engaged enemy troops in East Arsii zone, Shanan Kooluu District (Cabbii), killing 20 and wounding 11. An additional ambush in Asakoo District (Riibuu) disrupted regime reinforcements en route to Shanan Kooluu.
12. March 31, 2025 – Harsadee Command conducted a precision strike in East Shewa zone, Adaamaa District (Ceekaa Siillasee), killing 17 enemy combatants, wounding 6, and seizing all weapons.
