The promise of freedom was shattered.

By 1992, the TPLF regime, once an ally, turned its power inward. OLF was pushed out through coercion, exclusion, and betrayal.

Oromo fighters were hunted. Thousands were imprisoned, executed, or disappeared.

To deceive the people, a puppet structure, OPDO, was engineered to mimic Oromo identity while strangling the true liberation struggle from within.

For 27 years, this deception sustained imperial rule at the cost of Oromo dignity, land, and self-determination.

Yet even under terror, the Oromo Nation did not break.
The struggle went underground, not defeated, but sharpened.

Because a Nation born of truth cannot be erased.
