1. Sululta Operation: While Abiy Ahmed is busy with a performative military operation along the peripheral Kenyan border, the OLA’s Central Command executed a precise and strategic operation in Sululta, just a stone’s throw away from 4-kilo. This operation successfully neutralized a high-ranking Woreda Prosperity
Party official and administrator. Additionally, the Woreda security chief and his entourage were captured as prisoners of war, along with several members of the regime’s security forces.
2. East Arsii Zone Counter-Offensive: Around the same time yesterday, OLA’s Southeast Command also launched a counter-offensive in the East Arsii Zone, in Roobee District at Dida’aa, Sadiiqaa Tokkichummaa, Jiloo. This operation targeted regime soldiers deployed in the area, resulting in the neutralization of 20 soldiers and leaving 23 others wounded. OLA cannot leave the regime’s military presence anywhere in Oromia unopposed and will continue protecting the local population from oppressive forces.
3. Some of Regime’s Shene Decommissioned: The regime has previously categorized its “Shene” fighters into three groups: those to be retrained, redeployed, and subjected to show trials as part of a performative accountability campaign. Recently, some of its Shene in retraining have been decommissioned early and are now engaging in civilian attacks. Without proper mental rehabilitation or the means to sustain themselves, these individuals have resorted to looting, killing, and demanding ransoms. This reckless strategy by the regime is destabilizing communities. This is notwithstanding its “Shene” fighters intentionally redeployed to loot and terrorize the community either on account of supporting the OLA or defacing the image of our struggle.
