A young man named Yasuufee, who was newly married, was brutally murdered by regime militiamen in Shaakla village of Daawa Caffaa district in the Walloo region of Northern Oromia.
According to reports, the militiamen stormed the village and shot Yasuufee in cold blood. Following the killing, his wife, Rabia, was severely beaten and left in critical condition, struggling between life and death. On the same day, the perpetrators looted his entire shop, along with a television from his house, and transported the stolen goods to Kamise town.
Residents of Shaaklaa village told ONM that Yasuufee was not targeted for committing any crime. Instead, he was murdered as part of the regime’s ongoing crackdown on civilians, following the recent killing of a policeman in the area. The regime forces have been carrying out arbitrary killings, arrests, and displacement of innocent people in retaliation.
Escalating Killings of Innocent Civilians in Jibat District, Western Shaggar
ONM-ABO March 31, 2025 – The PP regime’s soldiers have intensified their campaign of killing innocent civilians in Jibat district, Western Shaggar.
On March 26, 2025, PP forces shot and killed a man named Warqu Bifessa Nagara in Abbay Manze village. According to sources, Warqu was a peaceful man with no political affiliations. However, the regime’s forces falsely accused him of having ties with the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA), detained him, and took him to the Gorra military camp, where he was brutally executed.
OLA Launches Offensive Against Regime Forces in Western Oromia
ONM-ABO March 31, 2025 – The Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) launched a major offensive against PP regime forces in Haro Limmuu district of East Wallaga, dealing a significant blow to the enemy.
In an intense battle, the OLA overran enemy positions, inflicting heavy casualties on the regime’s forces. As a result of the operation, OLA fighters seized five automatic rifles, a heavy machine gun, and large amounts of ammunition and rations from the defeated forces.
