On April 11, 2025, PP regime forces brutally murdered Jannaa Sheikh Adam and dumped his body in Heella Akkiyyaa village of Lixxuu locality in Martii district, East Arsi region, local residents told Oromia National Media.
Meanwhile, mass arrests and torture have been reported in Diigaluu and Xiyyoo districts of the same region. Civilians are being detained along with their families under false accusations and subjected to inhumane treatment.
Among the detained are:
- Mr. Gamma Batte Guto,
- Mr. Sanu Batte Guto,
- Mr. Jamu Roba,
- Mr. Happy History,
- Mr. Happy Xairo,
- Ms. Alia Bashir,
- Mr. Hallow Haji,
- Sheikh Usman Gammachu,
- Mr. Abdullatif Usman
and several others.
Sources revealed that the detainees include a mother with a newborn less than two weeks old and an elderly man in his 90s. In total, at least 24 innocent people are being tortured without any legitimate reason.
These incidents are part of a broader crackdown targeting Oromo civilians across various regions under the current regime.
