Gindabarat, West Shaggar — May 31, 2025 (ONM-ABO) – Two members of the Ethiopian Defense Forces (ENDF) surrendered to the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) in the Gindabarat district of the West Shaggar zone of Oromia, bringing with them their full set of weapons and equipment, according to ONM sources.
The defectors stated they had no regrets about leaving what they called the “enemy camp” and praised the OLA for the warm reception they received upon arrival.
In a message directed at remaining members of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF), the former soldiers urged their colleagues to stop killing their own people and instead join the OLA in the fight for justice.
