WBO has extended the operation to clear Oromia of fascist forces to all corners of Oromia. In the last 15 days, WBO forces have been active in several areas in Oromia.
ONM-ABO November 6,2022 In the East Oromia, on November 5, WBO forces attacked enemy forces and taken control of a military camp in the Kurfa Challe and Dawwee districts, specifically at Qabane village of Gudina Mulata rural precinct, East Harerge Zone. In this operation, more than 25 were killed and 44 wounded. The wounded were transported to Haramaya and Diredawa. The Kurfa Challe district is currently under WBO control.
Similarly, WBO fighters have destroyed PP forces in several places West Shawa Zone. Fighting between WBO fighters and regime forces continues specifically in Jibat, Silkamba and Nonnoo towns. Hit hard at Jibat, the enemy has deployed reinforcements through Waliso Amaya.
Furthermore, WBO has conducted an operation in the West Arsi Zone that has liberated the Heeban district, West Arsi Zone.
Since WBO operations started in Western Oromia 15 days ago, WBO has liberated a total of 10 districts, excluding those that have not yet been fully liberated in East Wallagga. In the liberated districts, residents have elected leaders and established provisional administrative councils.
In addition to military operations, WBO has called for economic boycott in Western Oromia to last 5 days. In response, WBO and Qeerroo Bilisumma Oromo (The Oromo Liberation Youth) have effectively shut down all roads leading to Naqamtee. As such, the economic boycott has gotten off to a good start.
