In operations conducted on May 17-18, 2023 against the Ethiopian regime’s forces in
Horroo Guduru Wallagga Zone,
the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) has captured a variety of weapons, including mortars, killing, wounding and capturing many soldiers.
At the time of this report, 4 districts including the towns of Daduu and Kombolcha, the districts of Abaaboo Guduruu, Coomman Guduruu, and Abayya Coomman, have all come under OLA forces’ control.
On May 18, 2023, the OLA engaged regime forces in a place called Adda Wallo near Lomicha town, Sasigaa district, East Wallaggaa Zone. After a day long battle, 72 enemy forces were killed, 40 wounded and 4 captured. In terms of weapons, 4 Turkey rifles, 22 hand grenades and various kinds of ammunition were captured.
OLA will continue to take action until liberty and independence is achieved.
