Locals are reporting that the leaders of the Prosperity Party are ordering the indiscriminate killing of Oromo civilian leadeders with the hope to destroy the Oromo freedom struggle. Accordingly, PP leaders are tasking their armed forces to kill unarmed, and peaceful civilian citizens extrajudicially in their homes and homesteads.
A father of three was killed by PP militia forces while he was entering his house in Jima village of Garba Gurraachaa town in North Shaggar region on April 24, 2024, according to residents of the area. The man is identified as Mr. Biraanuu Damee, a father of three. Residents say that he was not involved in any political activity and was highly respected and loved in the community.
In other news, the regime’s army are using drones to indiscriminately kill civilians as a revenge whenever they are attacked by Oromo Liberation Army (OLA). On April 25, 2024, two drone attacks were conducted on civilians in Dhahee Wullincoo village of Kuyyuu district in North Shaggar region. As a result of these attacks, houses, cattle, and grain were burnt down. Besides the bodily injury and psychological trauma, the survivors are suffering from lack of shelter, food, and clothing.
According to the residents, the drone attacks were carried out after the clashes between the regime’s army and OLA ended in which the regime’s soldiers suffered heavy casualties.
