The Ethiopian authority has been accused of resorting to forceful recruitment across Oromia. In a country ravaged by constant arm conflict the state army has suffered staggering death tolls and the government has always struggled to fill the widening gap.
Developing news from Dubluq District in Borana zone paint the same picture of desperate measures the administration has resorted to to make things work for them.PP grassroots officials in the said district were reported to be forcefully recruiting youths to the EDF.
While the youths are forced to join brutal EDF the middle aged men were also lured to join ill trained local militia in bid to fight OLA forces. PP Dubluq administrator by the name Galma Diidaa is said to be burning the midnight oil to ensure the success of the programme. The rogue officer is said to have instructed all location under the district to take part in the exercise and avail not less than 21 youths or face the government forceful hand.
In the same district there was a repeated cases of civilians abuse by the local leadership.WBO tag has been used as tool to victimize and brutalize the local population.
