The Prolonged suffering and collective punishment of Oromo people under successive Ethiopia Supremacist regimes continues to take devastating shape under the current Prosperity Party ruling class led by the dictatorial prime minister Abiy Ahmad. Employing heavy-handed tactics and repression, the autocratic regime has intensified its efforts to quash dissent.
On April 23, 2024, under the guise of combating the Oromo Liberation Army, government forces launched a devastating assault on the residents of Dugdaa District in Eastern Shaggar.
The regime’s brutal forces unleashed terror by burning homes in Haafaa Rasaa and Hafaa Qamalee, inflicting unprecedented destruction on citizens. Among the confirmed victims of this atrocity perpetrated by the Prosperity Party regime are Badhasa Guutaa and Fittaalaa Boochee.
The escalating destruction has led to widespread displacement, plunging numerous families into dire circumstances. The regime’s disregard for human life and property underscores the urgent need for accountability and scrutiny of its actions.
