The regime’s lazy propagandists are spreading disinformation about an alleged continuation of peace talks with the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA). That is patently false. There are no planned or ongoing discussions between Abiy Ahmed’s regime and the OLA. This disinformation campaign is a desperate attempt to manipulate public perception and distract from the regime’s mounting failures on multiple fronts. This indolent group will always try to mislead stakeholders into believing that efforts toward peace are being pursued when, in reality, the regime continues to escalate its violence against Oromo civilians.
