In a fierce battle in Adama district, East Shaggar Zone, the Oromo Liberation Army’s (OLA) Harsade Brigade launched a decisive assault against government forces, securing a strategic victory.
According to ONM-ABO sources, OLA fighters engaged government troops in the village of Ceeka Silase, neutralizing 17 soldiers, capturing five, and severely wounding six others. The rebels also seized seven automatic rifles, two SKS rifles, and a stockpile of ammunition.
The latest offensive underscores the OLA’s growing resistance against Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s administration, which has faced persistent allegations of human rights abuses and military crackdowns across Oromia.
