In its continued operations to counter the regime’s recent aggression, the OLA has conducted strategic actions in the Illu Abbaa Booraa and East Arsii zones, resulting in 86 regime soldiers killed, 99 wounded, and the capture of a substantial portion of the regime’s arsenal.
The first assault took place on November 4, targeting a regime military camp in Beenaa within the Daarimuu district of Illuu Abbaa Booraa zone. This operation resulted in the deaths of 75 regime soldiers, with 82 wounded and 6 taken as prisoners of war. OLA forces seized two Bren machine guns, two sniper rifles, 60 AK-47 assault rifles, explosives, and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
A second operation followed on November 6 in the Asakoo district of East Arsii zone, where OLA forces ambushed regime soldiers dispatched to intimidate the community over alleged OLA affiliations. This ambush neutralized 11 regime soldiers, wounded 17, and the confiscation of their weapons. The remaining members of the regime’s units quickly fled the area.
OLA will continue defending civilians from the regime’s oppression across Oromia.
