1. Maqii Town of East Shewa
On January 22, the Harsadee Command launched a successful operation in the East Shewa zone, Dugdaa district, Maqii town. The regime’s camp was overrun, resulting in 14 enemy soldiers killed and 12 wounded. Following the confrontation, the regime discreetly treated its injured in a local hospital in Maqii.
Additionally, action was taken against two regime agents known for orchestrating the imprisonment of Oromo politicians in the area.
2. Borena Zone
On the same day, the Southern Command carried out an operation in Borena zone, Goomolee district at Dhakaa Barruu, where 52 regime soldiers were neutralized and 19 wounded. Two soldiers surrendered, while the rest fled. During this engagement, OLA forces seized 34 AKM rifles and two PKM machine guns.
3. Eastern Oromia
Yesterday, January 26, 2025, brigades from the Eastern and Harsadee Commands conducted coordinated actions in Hancaarii district, neutralizing 30 regime soldiers and wounding 25. Simultaneously, in Daaroo Labuu district, nine soldiers were killed and 19 injured. The OLA seized 45 AKM rifles, one PKM machine gun, and other military equipment. The day also witnessed intense fighting in Miicataa town near Soof Umar and Machaaraa town, inflicting further losses on regime forces.
