The Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) has carried out successful operations against regime forces in Munessa and Shanan Koolu districts of East Arsi Zone, inflicting heavy casualties on the enemy.
In the area of Calle, Heeban Laqicha village of Munessa district, OLA neutralized 10 enemy combatants and seriously wounded 18 others on March 25, 2025. The operation resulted in the capture of two AKM rifles, two hand grenades, various ammunition, one radio, and an assortment of other weapons. The commander of the PP troops, named Daud, was also killed by the Oromo freedom fighters during the battle.
Further Engagements in Shanan Koolu District
On March 26, 2025, OLA’s South Eastern Command engaged regime forces in Cabi Qamme village, Shanan Koolu district, killing one enemy soldier and wounding two others.
In another confrontation in Lafto Rifenso village of Shanan Koolu, OLA eliminated five enemy combatants and injured six more in a fierce battle against Abiy Ahmed’s forces.
