The desperate Abiy Ahmed has long  engaged in the reprehensible practice of forcibly conscripting  children, most recently as young as 11, into its military ranks. Despite  possessing reconnaissance drones, including the Wing Loong, TB2, and  Akinci, the regime’s insatiable disregard for the lives of our youth has only grown.

Now, it has escalated its atrocities against children by training school-boys in firearms and weaponizing them as frontline surveillance operatives, sending them deep into Oromo Liberation Army controlled territories. (See attached video)

Concerned International actors should rise in resolute solidarity against this moral abomination and systemic violation of the most basic norms of warfare.
